Heart Rhythm Board Review OnDemand

The Heart Rhythm Society is the international leader in science, education, and advocacy for cardiac arrhythmia professionals and patients and is the primary information resource on heart rhythm disorders. Its mission is to improve the care of patients by promoting research, education, and optimal health care policies and standards.

Program Description

This program contains comprehensive content focused on preparation for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and recertification examinations in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. For those not preparing for the exam, this course is an excellent update and overview of cardiac electrophysiology

  • Describe the current guidelines related to evaluation and management of patients with cardiac rhythm disturbances
  • Describe the role of electrophysiologic testing in managing patients with bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias
  • Identify the advantages and limitations of diagnostic electrophysiologic methods
  • Identify the role of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies for the treatment of arrhythmias
  • Recognize the basic electrophysiology and genetics of inherited conditions associated with cardiac arrhythmias
  • Recognize clinical, electrocardiographic, and electrophysiologic characteristics of specific cardiac arrhythmia syndromes
  • Interpret complex electrophysiologic and electrocardiographic tracings
  • Interpret stored electrograms from pacemakers and ICDs

Method of Participation and CME Certificate

This Heart Rhythm Board Review On Demand product includes 29 hours of lectures/sessions recorded at the 2018 Board Review Course in Cardiac Electrophysiology and test questions. You can browse/search the content by Day, Session, Presentation or Presenter.

Attendees of the 2018 Board Review Course in Cardiac Electrophysiology will not be able to claim additional credit for this OnDemand product.  Live attendees can claim credit for attending the course at the Heart Rhythm Society’s Learning Center.  Attendees will be able to access the test questions in the OnDemand product for educational and learning purposes only.

To receive CME credit for this product, you must:

  1. Purchase the product
  2. Read the CME Info, including Program Objectives, Faculty Credentials, and Faculty Disclosures
  3. Take the Pre-Test when prompted (you must be online and logged in to take the test)
  4. View all 29 hours of the Board Review sessions.
  5. Complete the Post-Test questions by clicking the Post-Test button (you will not be allowed to take the post-test until you have completed the pre-test)
  6. You must score 100% on the test to receive credit.  You will have an opportunity to re-take any questions you missed until you score 100%
  7. Complete the evaluation survey.
  8. Generate and print your CME certificate.

Note:  You must watch all of the sessions and take the pre-test before taking the post-test and completing the evaluation survey to receive credit.  However, you do not have to view all of the sessions at the same time.  You can access the content as many times as necessary to watch all of the sessions before taking the test and completing the evaluation survey.
